All 18 tunnels of Georgia’s E60 Expressway F3 Bid Project Successfully Cut Through

Recently, the right hole of tunnel 2#, the longest tunnel in the F3 Bid Project of Georgia's E60 Expressway, has been successfully opened. So far, all 18 tunnels of the project have been cut through and the main artery has been successfully connected.

The E60 Expressway in Georgia connects the capital of Tbilisi to the port city of Batumi and runs through the east and west of Georgia. It is an important section of the transport trunk line connecting Asia and Europe. Once completed, it will greatly relieve the traffic pressure on the existing section of E60 and is of great significance to the development of Georgia and the region. The F3 Bid Section built by the Company is 13.05 km long, with four lanes in both directions and a designed speed of 100 km per hour. The terrain of the project area is mainly mountainous, the terrain is steep, the bridge and tunnel ratio of the whole line is 76.7%, representing the most critical section of the E60 Expressway Project.
