On June 22, the Graduation and Degree-awarding Ceremony was held in Changsha University of Science and Technology for over 10 Togo students jointly cultivated by CRBC and Changsha University of Science and Technology. Among the attendees were his Excellency Vincent Carvabuj- Presidential Adviser of the Republic of Togo, Messangan Kodjovi Bessa- charge d'affaires of Embassy of the People’s Republic of Togo in China, Shen Zhan- Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of CRBC, Fu Hongyuan- Secretary of the Party Committee of Changsha University of Science and Technology, Jiang Changbo- Vice President of Changsha University of Science and Technology, etc.
On June 13, the Final Competition of the “Striving for China Dream, Show A Smart Africa” - First Chinese Speech Contest for International Students sponsored by CRBC was held in Beijing Jiaotong University. 15 students from Kenya, Congo-Brazzaville, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, Togo, etc. shared their interesting stories in China with the audiences.
The Summit on the Chinese Central SOEs’ Support of Macao in the Building of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Co-operation Platform was held in Macao on May 31. Among the attendees were CCCC President Liu Qitao, CCCC Vice President Sun Ziyu, CRBC Vice President Du Fei, etc.
The Release Ceremony of CCCC CSR Report 2016 and Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project CSR Report 2016 was held in Nairobi, Capital of Kenya on May 29 local time when the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (“Mombasa-Nairobi SGR”), the first railway in Kenya over the past century is about to be opened for traffic. The release ceremony is aimed to further summarize the experiences, better perform the corporation social responsibilities, achieve the win-win development, and lay foundation for the long-term and sustainable development of Chinese enterprises in abroad.
On February 22, the seeing-off ceremony for the second group of 35Kenyan students, who were fully financed by CRBC to study in China, was held in Kenya Railway Technology College. James Macharia – Minister of Transport of Kenya, Wilson Irungu Nyakera – Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Transport of Kenya, Mr. Myna – Director of the Railway Authority, his Excellency Liu Xianfa – the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya and his Excellency Guo Ce – the Commercial Counselor, CRBC Vice President Li Qiang as well as the 35 students and their parents attended the ceremony.
