Wang Lijun declared the opening of the study camp and expressed his hopes in four aspects under the theme of “keeping in mind our missions and making contribution to the realization of the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation”: First, we should be firm in our ideals and consciously find the right course of life in the historical voyage; second, we should study hard, grow and make progress by learning from the books, practices and role models; third, we should be creative and innovative and contribute our part to help the realization of the second centenary goal and the Chinese Dream; fourth, we should temper our character and aspire to become the new force and pacesetter leading the new era.
Ye Chengyin reviewed the development of CRBC over the past six decades and described the endeavors of generations of youth working for CRBC, as well as spiritual quality required of contemporary youth for CRBC’s development. He encouraged staff of CRBC to keep in mind the philosophy that “being willing and able to endure hardships is the only way for us to grow up”, and the life philosophy that “the fragrance of plum blossom comes from bitter cold winter” and “nothing in the world comes easy.” He also encouraged staff of CRBC to work at project sites where the living conditions are harsh, fight for the national development at the frontline, realize their dreams and make their mark in the world.
At the opening ceremony, CRBC leaders presented flags for student representatives and books for all teachers and students, and gave them encouragement. Student representatives greatly inspired and gave ceaseless applause.
