Du Fei Accompanies Wang Tongzhou in Visiting Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio
Date: 03/06/2024On March 1, CCCC Chairman Wang Tongzhou visited Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio who paid a state visit to China in Beijing. Both sides had an in-depth exchange on deepening the cooperation in various fields such as infrastructure construction. Among other attendees were Chief Minister of Sierra Leone David Moinina Sengeh, CCCC Deputy General Manager Chen Zhong, CCCC Overseas Business Director Tang Qiaoliang, CRBC Chairman Du Fei, and CRBC Vice President Li Changgui.
President Bio extended great appreciation for CCCC’s active attention to and participation in Sierra Leone’s infrastructure development and the promotion of connectivity in relevant sectors over the years. He noted that China and Sierra Leone boast long-standing friendship and close people-to-people bond. Sierra Leone is now ushering in swift economic growth, bringing broad space of cooperation in a wide range of sectors such as infrastructure construction and mineral resources development. The Sierra Leonean government welcomes CCCC to continue to leverage its advantages, actively participate in the construction projects in various fields, keep deepening the close cooperation between the two countries, and facilitate the bilateral cooperation to achieve more practical results and better benefit the people of the two countries.
Wang Tongzhou extended sincere gratitude to President Bio and the Sierra Leonean government for their long-term trust and support towards CCCC. He noted that, in recent years, CCCC has placed its focus on “Greater Transport” and “Greater City” initiatives, and fully leveraged its international advantages and unique capabilities in river, lake, and sea, providing integrated services across land, sea, air, and rail sectors to its global customers. As he noted, always attaching great importance to its business development in Sierra Leone, CCCC will give full play to its full industry chain advantages in line with the cooperative consensus reached by the leaders of China and Sierra Leone. CCCC will further deepen cooperation with Sierra Leone in relevant business areas, expand its business both horizontally and vertically, and contribute its part to the long-standing friendship and close cooperation between the two nations.
Among other attendees were Tao Huace, General Manager of CRBC West and Central Africa Regional Market Development Center and Equatorial Guinea Office, as well as relevant personnel from CRBC West and Central Africa Regional Market Development Center and the Market Development Department.
