On May 31, a delegation led by his Excellency Gong Xiaosheng - China's Special Envoy on the Middle East Issues went to the Dredging and Sediment Barrier Project of Friendship Harbour in Mauritania. They visited the caisson prefabrication site and construction site of rubble-mound foundation, Berth 4# and Berth 5#, and Berth 1#, Berth 2# and Berth 1# successively, and listened to the related introduction of the history and present situation of the Friendship Harbour.

When having a talk with the employees of the project department, his Excellency Gong Xiaosheng pointed out that in the past 30 years, the international status of China would not rise without the support of the national strength, which would not increase without the struggle of the enterprises, especially the state-owned enterprises. He encouraged CRBC and the Office to do more projects like the Dredging and Sediment Barrier Project of Friendship Harbour in Mauritania and well act as a "non-governmental ambassador" to publicize the image of China.
